Place the mouse pointer over the word "Directory" at the top of the screen, click and hold with the left mouse button. Drag downward until a menu option is highlighted and let go of the left mouse button. In most cases a dialog box will appear that prompts you for further input and provides necessary instructions. Note that the menu options are also accessible using shortcut keystrokes. The functions of the menu options are outlined in the table below.


About Netscape - takes you to a Netscape WWW page that gives you a summary of Netscape 1.2 features and capabilities.
Registration Information - takes you to a Netscape WWW page that tells you how to register your copy of the software - and pay for it.
Upgrade Information - takes you to a Netscape WWW page that tells you where to get upgrades and how to download and install them on your machine.
Handbook - Netscape's version of "read the friendly manual." - basically an online users' guide.
Release Notes - takes you to pages at Netscape which will provide you with all the technical information you need to know to mount and run the software on your machine.
Frequently Asked Questions - takes you to Netscape's FAQ WWW pages. Everything you wanted to know about Netscape but were afraid to ask.
On Security - takes you to Netscape's primer on Internet security issues and provides links to sites on security.
How to Give Feedback - opens Netscape's "Navigator Bug Report" WWW Page. This is Netscape's complaint window!
How to Get Support - takes you to the Netscape "Technical Support" WWW Pages. You'll find a lot of troubleshooting information here.
How to Create Web Services - takes you to Netscape's "Creating Web Sites" WWW pages. Not of much interest unless you're planning putting up your own WWW pages using HTML.
