<MAP NAME="name">
<AREA> statements
</MAP>

Links the name specified to an inline image which references the same map name and, through the included statements, defines clickable areas within the inline image which may be linked to internal or external URLs.

<MARQUEE> marquee text </MARQUEE>

Internet Explorer Specific Command Parameters:
bgcolor=

Defines a scrolling text marquee with the attributes set by the parameters supplied and by any <FONT> statements surrounding or outside the <MARQUEE> command tag pair.
Comic Sans MS Font Scrolling Marquee
Works only in the Internet Explorer browser.

<MENU>
<LI>list items
</MENU>

Defines a simple menu list, bulletized in most browsers.

<META params>

Command Parameters:
content= http-equiv name=

Unpaired Tag

META tags make declarative statements about the web site which are not visible to the user. They can be used by WWW search engines, Internet Service Providers and filtering programs to determine page content, authorship, scope and copyright information among other things.
Meta statements occur only in the <HEAD> document segment.

<MULTICOL params>
text to be columnated

Command Parameters:
cols= gutter= width=

Defines a multicolumn area of text. The command is specific to the Netscape browser. The same effect can be realized using the <TABLE> command in Internet Explorer.

<NOBR>
a text line which cannot be broken
</NOBR>

Included text cannot be wrapped or broken except where expressly specified using the corresponding <WBR> command.

<NOFRAMES>
alternate HTML code
</NOFRAMES>

Provides a container for alternate HTML code which is viewed only if the user's browser is not capable of displaying frames in a framed document. See: <FRAME>, <FRAMESET>.

<OBJECT params>

</OBJECT>

Internet Explorer Specific Command Parameters:
classid= id= param name=

Provides a container for the Activex X controls to be embedded directly in an HTML document. It supports the insertion of multimedia video objects. It works only in the Internet Explorer browser.

<OL params>
<LI>list items
</OL>

Command Parameters:
start= type=

Defines an ordered list in which list items are numbered according to the specified command parameters.

<OPTION params>Displayed Option

Command Parameters:
selected value=

Defines a list of choices within a <FORM> when used in conjunction with the <SELECT> command.

<P params>
some paragraph text
</P>

Command Parameters:
align=

or simply

<P>

When used as a paired tag, defines the characteristics of a contained paragraph of text.
When used as a simple unpaired tag, produces a line break with white space.

<PLAINTEXT>

The command renders enclosed text normally and indicates that it consists only of plain ASCII text (presumably containing no code).

<PRE>

      preformatted
        text

</PRE>

Contains an area of preformatted text. Text is displayed exactly as contained within the HTML file. All formatting and spacing is preserved. Unless otherwise indicated, text is displayed in a nonproportionally spaced font.

<Q>

The command renders enclosed text normally but is intended to identify is as a quotation.
