BACK <EM> Command next

Command Syntax:

<EM> some text </EM>

The command renders enclosed text in italics for emphasis.

See also:  <ADDRESS>, <CITE>, <I>

Example:
<EM> some emphasized text </EM>

Enclosed text is rendered in italics.

The preferred command for italics is <I>
