- Keep the low-end user in mind.
- Make sure you give them what they came here expecting or they won't be back.
- Make sure your page is printable or provide a printable format or simple text option.
- Limit graphics or provide alternative low- or no-graphics pages.
- Use the
alt= tag on all images to provide information if the user has
turned off inline images.
- Providing image dimensions will make your pages load faster and allow
your
alt= tags to display.
- Do everything you can to limit your page's loading time - you have 15 seconds.
- Use multiple small files vs. one big indexed HTML file.
- Don't use upper-end or browser-specific HTML code, JAVA applets or frames, unless
absolutely necessary.
