- Remember: Simplicity is elegance. and Brevity is the soul of wit.
- Keep things on a single page and "above the fold" if possible.
- Provide adequate navigation aids.
- Don't use too many colors or fonts.
- Don't use unnecessary graphics, especially animated graphics.
- Don't display or link to resources that require the user to install additional browser plug-ins
or external applications.
- Don't use any stupid HTML, JAVA or FRAMES tricks. - Intelligent ones are OK though.
- Don't play background music without asking your user first.
- Don't embed or include external files unless they are absolutely necessary.
